Connect your platform

To send data to any destination, connect your platform account to Catchr by creating a new Source. Here is the documentation for creating a Source. Once a Source is created on Catchr and you can see accounts, you can use your data in any of our destinations! Accounts can differ between platforms. Here are some examples:

Meta Ads Business Manager can contain multiple Meta Ads accounts
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) uses Properties as accounts.
Instagram Insight uses Profiles as accounts.
Facebook Pages Insight uses Facebook Pages as accounts.
WooCommerce uses Stores as accounts.

Start Creating your reports

You can use your data at any destination once you have created a new Source on Catchr.

An account refers to a location, system, or platform from which data originates or is acquired. It can be a database, a spreadsheet, an application, a web service, an API, or any other storage system where information is stored and can be retrieved.

Here are some examples:

Meta Ads Business Manager can contain multiple Meta Ads accounts
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) uses Properties as accounts.
Instagram Insight uses Profiles as accounts.
Facebook Pages Insight uses Facebook Pages as accounts.
WooCommerce uses Stores as accounts.

Concrete example: For example, if you connect one Facebook Ads Manager with three accounts and one Google Ads MCC with five accounts, it's 8 accounts.

How to create a new Source ?

To start using your data on any of our destinations, you must create a new Source.

What is a Source ?

It is the bridge between a platform (Meta Ads, Google Ads, Matomo, Shopify, etc.) and Catchr. Once created, you can send your data to any destination (Looker Studio, Google Sheets, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).

How to create a new Source ?

Go to app.catchr.io and click on the menu Source. On the top right, click on Add a new source. Select your platform and follow the steps to link it (either log into your account or create a new API Key on the platform manager). Once your Source is created, you should see your available accounts. Here is an example of a successfully created Meta Ads source: New Source successfully created You can activate your account. If an inactive account is requested at one of the destinations, it will automatically become active.

How to use your Source?

Once your account is visible, you can use them on any destination:

Looker Studio: Go to the connector list and select the one that matches your platform, then create reports.
Google Sheets: Install our Add-on and create requests to import data into a spreadsheet automatically.
PowerBI, Tableau, CSV, JSON: Go to the [API menu](h

How to report an issue ?

You have an issue in one of your dashboards and want us to investigate it. Here is what we need to help you:

The email you use on app.catchr.io. You can find it at the top right of the page.
The email where we can reach you if it differs from the email used on Catchr.
The Platform and Destination (for example, Facebook Ads and Looker Studio).
The Catchr Source ID and the account name and ID. You can find both in your Source page :
Describe your issue (give us a defined period, metrics dimensions used, and expected behavior).

For Looker Studio:

Send your information on the chat and share a Looker Studio report with edition mode at johan.lookerstudio@catchr.io. Our highly skilled expert will take a look and leave examples for you to solve or avoid the issue.

For Google Sheets:

Provide screenshots of the metrics and dimensions used, the date period, filters if any and options checked.

For PowerBI, Tableau, JSON, or CSV:

Provide the URL generated on Catchr in the API menu.

For BigQuery:

Provide the job URL and a screenshot of the Job overview page :

BigQuery: How to create a data stream ?

Prerequisite to create a Data stream:

Create a least one Source. Create a Database.

What is a Data stream ?

A data stream is a link between a platform and a database. Therefore, you need at least one Source (the connection to the platform) and a database.

How do I create a new Data stream ?

Go to the Datastream menu on app.catchr.io and click Add Data Stream. Add a new Data stream Name your data stream on the new page (for example: "Meta Ads Catchr to BQ Catchr" if I want to connect my Meta Ads account and my BigQuery).

Select your platform (Meta Ads, as in my previous example).
Select your destination (if this drop-down is empty, you must create a Database first).
Then click save.

Your Data stream has been created, we need to create a new Job to configure which fields and dimensions to send to BigQuery.

BigQuery: How to create a database ?

Create a new Catchr database:

On app.catchr.io, go to the Database menu and click "Add database". Create a new Database on Catchr

Select a name (this is the name of the data base on Catchr). Select your destination (only BigQuery is available now; if you need a new database destination, please ask us on the chat !) Select your project ID as it is in the Google Cloud Platform: Project ID in Google Cloud Platform in the BigQuery section. Choose a dataset ID. It will be the name of the data set in BigQuery.

To find your Json key, you need to create a new service account. Follow this link and select a project on the page. Then, create a new service account: Select your Project and create a new Service Account

Give it a name so you can easily find it (Catchr service account, for example). The ID will be generated after this name.
Enter a description if needed.
Click Create and continue
