We currently use the Amazon Ads API v3 for our integration.
This version only provides Sponsored Brand campaigns of type SB2.
SB (legacy Sponsored Brand) and SBV (Sponsored Brand Video) campaigns are not available in Amazon Ads API v3.
We will add these as soon as Amazon makes them available in the v3 API.
The v2 API does not provide historical data per date.
Without daily granularity, it was impossible to build time-based reports directly in Looker Studio or Google Sheets, which was necessary as the API takes too long to respond for a live connector in Looker Studio or Google Sheets.
Using v3 enables clean and time-ordered data extraction, which is compatible with a Looker Studio connector. Looker Studio has a 5-minute time limit, and the Amazon Ads API typically doesn’t respond within 5 minutes for large requests.

You can check the Type column to see whether a campaign is SB2, SB, or SBV.
