Snapchat Ads provides age-related metrics using two possible formats: bucketed age ranges (e.g., 18–25, 25–35) and cumulative age groups (e.g., 18+, 25+). By default, the Snapchat API may return both formats together, leading to overlapping values.
Catchr lets you choose which age format to use in your queries, ensuring consistency and clarity in your reports.
When configuring a Snapchat Ads query in Catchr, you can select one of the following behaviors for the Age field:
Returns only age buckets such as 18–25 or 25–35.
This option provides discrete, non-overlapping age ranges.
Returns cumulative groups such as 18+ or 25+.
This structure follows Snapchat’s cumulative logic, where each group includes all ages above the threshold.
Returns both formats.
This replicates the original Snapchat API behavior and lets you filter or aggregate data directly in the destination tool.
Bucket only: Useful when you need clean, non-overlapping age segments.
Cumulative only: Best when reproducing Snapchat’s native cumulative reporting.
Bucket + cumulative: Recommended if you want full access to all age structures.
The Age field behavior can be set during query or data-source creation.
The option appears during data source setup, under the Snapchat Ads configuration settings.

The option is available in the Platform Options section when building or editing a Snapchat Ads query.

Catchr uses Bucket Only as the default format.
This ensures that age data is easier to interpret and aligns with standard reporting practices.
