When connecting Catchr to Microsoft Advertising, you may see the error “Need admin approval”. This means your Microsoft account does not have permission to grant access to the Catchr app.
This is a common security restriction in Microsoft Azure Active Directory (AAD).
Microsoft organizations can restrict third-party app access.
Only an administrator can approve apps like Catchr to access company data.
Share the error message with your IT/admin team
Ask them to approve the Catchr application
They can approve it by:
Logging in with an admin account
Clicking “Sign in with an admin account” on the error page
Granting permissions to Catchr
Once approved, all users in the organization can use Catchr without seeing this error.
If your admin prefers manual approval:
Go to Microsoft Azure Portal
Navigate to:
Azure Active Directory → Enterprise Applications
Search for Catchr
Open the app and click:
Permissions → Grant admin consent
Admins can allow users to approve apps themselves:
Go to Azure Active Directory → Enterprise Applications
Click Consent and permissions
Enable User consent for applications
This is less restrictive and should be reviewed with security policies.
Once access is granted:
Go back to Catchr
Reconnect your Microsoft Advertising account
The connection should work without errors
