How to use Looker Studio for the first time ?
Step 1: Access Looker Studio
It’s recommended to use Google Chrome for the best experience.
Make sure you're logged in to Google Chrome with the same Google account you'll use on Looker Studio.
Go to Looker Studio and log in with your Google account.
Once on the homepage, click the Create button in the top-left corner.
Step 2: Find and Add a Connector
After clicking Create, select Data Source from the dropdown menu.
Use the search bar to find the connector you need (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook, Shopify, etc.).
For Catchr connectors, you can find all available options at this link: Catchr Connectors.
Once you find your connector, click on it and press Authorize to give Looker Studio access to the data.
Step 3: Authenticate Your Account
Follow the steps to log in to your chosen platform and grant the necessary permissions to Looker Studio.
This will link your account to Looker Studio.
Step 4: Select Your Account and Configure the Data Source
After authentication, select the account or data set you want to pull data from (e.g., a specific Google Ads account or Facebook Page).
Review and adjust any optional settings (if available), then click Connect to create your data source.
Step 5: Create Your Report
After connecting your data source, click Create Report.
If you didn’t use a pre-built template, a blank report will appear. You can start by adding charts, tables, or graphs.
Click Add a Chart and choose your preferred chart type (e.g., bar chart, time series).
Select the metrics and dimensions you want to display from the available fields.
Step 6: Customize and Share Your Report
Use filters, date range options, and styling tools to customize the look and feel of your report.
To share the report, click the Share button in the top-right corner, and enter the email addresses of the people you want to share it with.
You can also schedule reports to be automatically sent via email by selecting File > Schedule email delivery.
