The Reach by campaign does not match the Reach of my Meta Ads account

If you break down Reach by campaign, ad set, or ad, you will get the exact Reach for each level, but it will not equal the total Reach of your Meta Ads account.

Unlike other metrics, such as Impressions (where the sum by campaign equals the total for your Meta Ads account), Reach works differently. For example, if one person sees ads from three different campaigns, the Reach for each campaign increases by one, but the total Reach of your Meta Ads account only increases by one.

The same applies at different levels:
Ad Set Level: The Reach at the ad set level will usually be higher than at the campaign level and account level.
Ad Level: The Reach at the ad level will be higher than at the ad set level, campaign level or account level.

Additionally, Reach by day does not equal the total Reach for a month. If a person sees ads on three different days, they will count as three Reach when broken down by day but only one for the monthly Reach.

This is because the same person may see multiple ads across different days, ad sets, or campaigns, but they are only counted once at the account level or for the total period.
